Easy Christmas Crafts for Kids

Easy Christmas crafts for kids are a must!  Everyone recalls how challenging it was to practice patience in the weeks leading up to Christmas as a child. What was a kid to do when there was just too much enthusiasm about toys, candy, and having fun with friends? Here are some quick and simple craft projects to help you this year amuse your kids during the lead-up to Christmas.

Holiday Cards:

Consider having your kids produce Christmas cards to send to family and friends.  This will replace pending a lot of money on store-bought commercial cards. Making cards is simple, and you can do it with supplies you already have on hand.  If not,  you can affordably buy supplies at a nearby craft shop. To help you started, consider these card concepts:

Use existing images from your collection or take new ones just for your photo Christmas cards. Grandparents, aunts, and uncles will adore these since they enjoy seeing new photos of the kids. Cut a rectangle, square, or circle out of the center of the front of the card using card stock or construction paper. Over the cutout, place a favorite photo of the kids so that it shines through on the card’s front.

You may make a winning card that anyone would treasure by adding seasonal stickers and crayon drawings from the youngsters. Don’t forget to include a poem or a little holiday message inside the card.

Cards and Treats

Create the card using cardstock or construction paper, and then find some wintery images in an old magazine. Place the sceneries on the card’s front using glue or paste. Tape a tea bag, a dry soup mix envelope, or an envelope containing hot chocolate drink mix to the inside of the card. The child’s name and a cordial greeting should be written together with some XXX000.

Wreaths

Christmas wreaths are remarkable because they honor the circle of friendship. By hanging unique holiday wreaths on your doors, you may make this season special all throughout your house.

Breakfast Wreath

Take a white paper plate, and have the children paint the entire edge of the plate with green non-toxic paint (if no edge have them paint like an inch or two in). Have them cut out the inner circle of the plate once it has dried.

Have a variety of shaped colored cereal on hand. Attach the cereal bits with glue on the plate’s green area. You can now decorate one of your doorways with a lovely homemade cereal wreath by adding a large red ribbon to the bottom of the dish.

Box Wreath

Draw a circle on a sizable piece of cardboard. Cut off the circle now, and then draw another circle inside it.   Leave a minimum of 6″ around the circumference. You own this wreath. Get those old Christmas cards from years past that that you have tucked away in the attic. Let the kids choose their favorite cards from this collection of vintage Christmas cards.

Arrange them so that they surround the wreath in a straight line. The cards can be overlapped to great effect. As soon as the wreath is completely covered with Christmas cards, adhere the card backs to it in the desired locations. For a wonderful wreath for your home, add a festive ribbon.

Tablecloth with Christmas Wish List

Making a Christmas Wish List Tablecloth is the best way to keep track of your child’s Christmas wish list. Making them is enjoyable for youngsters.  The bonus is that Santa can utilize them a lot to make those particular gifts appear.

Make sure you have plenty of non-toxic markers on hand.   Buy a white plastic tablecloth from the store. Give the children the markers, then place the cloth on the table or the floor. This should keep them occupied for a while.  And you will end up with a Christmas craft you will cherish for years. Tell them to draw drawings of what they want for Christmas.   Or, if they are older, have them actually write out their list (in great detail).
